What is a State of Control?

The goal of a compounding pharmacy and its personnel must be to achieve a State of Control.  The pharmacy and its personnel must operate under such conditions that achieve a state of microbial control in sterile environments, and ensure patient and personnel safety involved in compounding these products in all compounding environments, sterile and non-sterile.
